Akron Parks Week 2019 celebrates the playful and historical parks across Akron. From June 8 to 15, you can join hundreds of community members in volunteer opportunities, events (from fitness and painting classes to game nights and workshops), and celebrations at parks throughout the city.

You can also give back to your public spaces by helping clean, paint, mulch, maintain, and more. Eleven community parks in Akron are hosting volunteer events—including Lock 3 and one park in every City of Akron ward. Plus, your FREE volunteer t-shirt also gets you a discounted ticket for just $5 for a volunteer appreciation event at the Rubber Ducks game on Saturday, June 15,complete with a group photo on the outfield after the game.
