Join Akron Parks Collaborative as we enhance our neighborhood parks by sponsoring a memorial or wildlife opportunity. Founded in 2018, Akron Parks Collaborative is a nonprofit working to engage the community around the creation and sustainability of vibrant public spaces within City of Akron parks.

Located in the University Park neighborhood and adjacent to Leggett Elementary, help us realize the full neighborhood inspired vision for the park by donating to fill the gap for a $305,000 project! Additional funds will help add a nature play space complete with a neighborhood inspired slide.

Through extensive input and community engagement, we created a vision for the park that includes a new playground, new seating, a pavilion, upgraded basketball courts, upgraded trail and new landscaping and beautification. Help us finish the park so it is a high quality space for the neighborhood to gather and play!

Hyre and Lions Park are both beloved neighborhood parks in the Ellet neighborhood. Several neighbors teamed up with Hyre CLC, the Ellet Community Center and the Ellet Library Branch to dream about needed upgrades to the park that would support neighborhood vibrancy.
